Nduja Pasta
Craving something savory and spicy? This Nduja pasta is sure to hit the spot!
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 small onion – diced
- 80 g Nduja – broken up and squished with a fork or roughly chopped
- 3 garlic cloves – crushed
- 400 g Passata
- 160 g pasta – I used Capunti but Penne will work fine
- 1 small handful of fresh basil
- Parmesan to serve
Instructions
- Put a pot of salted water on to boil.
- Meanwhile, in a frying pan over medium heat, add the oil, onion, and a pinch of salt and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the Nduja and garlic and cook for another 3 minutes squishing the Nduja with the back of your spoon as you go.
- Add the pasta and simmer for 20 minutes. After about 5 minutes of simmering, you want to get your pasta into the water and cook according to the packet. Mine took 13 minutes to cook.
- Once your pasta is cooked, add it to the sauce and combine. Add the basil and top with parmesan.
