Crispy Sesame Chicken
Ingredients
- Oil for frying I used Veggie Oil
- 2 Eggs – beaten
- 5 tbsp Rice flour you can also use corn flour
- 10 tbsp Plain flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1 tsp Garlic salt
- 2 tsp Paprika
- 8 Chicken Tenderloins – diced into bite-sized bits
- 1/2 jar Paddington's Hot Sesame Sauce
- 2 Spring onions thinly sliced
- Sesame seeds to top
- Steamed rice for serving
Instructions
- Turn your deep fryer on 180’c (or heat oil in a saucepan)
- Place the egg in a bowl and whisk to combine.
- Add the rice flour, flour, salt, pepper, garlic salt and paprika to another bowl and mix together.
- Dip the chicken into the egg (shake off any excess), then into the flour mixture, and coat really well.
- Deep fry the little bite-sized pieces of delicious (aka chicken bits) for about 6-7minutes or until cooked through (use a thermometer). Do it in batches and let sit on a wired rack.
- Once you’ve fried all your chicken (turn off the deep fryer), whack a wok on medium heat, add half a jar of Paddington’s Hot Sesame Sauce, and bring to a gentle boil. When bubbling, add the chicken and mix well.
- Serve on rice and top with spring onion and sesame seed.
