Beer Can Chickenn
Beer Can Chicken, combining my two favourite things (beer and food, if it wasn’t obvious).
Ingredients
- 1.8 kg chicken
- 4 tbsp @season.andko Sweet Baby BBQ spice rub
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2 sprigs rosemary
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 beer sadly, it needs to be warm
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 220’c
- Coat your chicken in oil and rub in the Sweet Baby BBQ spice mix all over the chicken.
- Use a can opener to open your beer (watch the spray) and pour half of it out (or drink it warm if that’s your thing). Add the rosemary and garlic, and then stuff it up the chicken’s backside. I had a holder which is supposed to make life easier… but does it? You be the judge.
- Whack it in the oven for 45-50 minutes or until it reaches 67’c. Then let it rest for 15 minutes. Not only will this stop you from burning your hands on the beer can, but it will also make the chicken extra delicious.
- Carve it up and eat.
